Totems and Monoliths | Designed, Manufactured and Fitted In-House

Totems and monoliths are usually built around a sturdy steel framework, with any wiring neatly concealed inside. Mounted on a plinth or securely concreted into position, the sky’s the limit in terms of size! Aluminium cladding, with a professional powdercoated finish will give you the maximum longevity.

Our Design Team will colour match to your brand style, and illumination will ensure you’re visible both day and night. And if you’ve already decided to ‘go large’, choose 3D letters to complete the really high-quality look. We’re proud to say your sign will be entirely fabricated at our workshops in Cheshire, and installed professionally by our skilled team.

Totems and Monoliths - Frequently Asked Questions

What?s the expected lifespan of my sign?

We use high quality Aluminium, with a powdercoated (paint) finish or Aluminum Composite for our external signs, both of which have a 5-7 year stated lifespan. In reality, they can last for ten or more years if you maintain them well and give them a clean from time to time! The LEDs we use are guaranteed for xxxx hours.

We're renting our premises, can we still have a Totem or Monolith?

Probably, but it’s essential you check your contract and with your Landlord before installation. These are big signs so they need to have sound footings, which obviously means digging! We’d be happy to provide design mock-ups showing how the sign will look in situ, and also answer any queries they may have about the installation method and any power requirements for illumination.

How do I get a quotation?

Give us a call or fill in our quote request form. Usually the first step is creating a unique design – we don’t charge for initial drawings, as that’s ‘just part of the process’ for us. Your quote will then be based on the design as this allows us to consider material and component costs, as well as estimating the time required for installation. Or, if another designer has already done some drawings, we can quote from these too.

How can I be sure the installation will be conducted safely?

All our installers are highly experienced and are PASMA certified to ensure they’re working at height safely. We’ll complete your Site Induction if necessary, and provide you with a Risk Assessment and Method Statement where required, covering any specific areas such as digging, electrical works or working near overhead cables.

Chapter 8 of The Department of Transport’s Traffic Signs Manual, isn’t yet legislation, but is considered best practice for vehicles stopping or being used for work on highways and high-speed roads. It’s an effective way to make you and your fleets safe, especially at night or in poor driving conditions.
